Steve Jobs probably did not realize how big of a revolution his smartphone would create when he first unveiled the iPhone back in 2008. It is safe to say that the world has never been the same since. Half of the world’s population now owns a smartphone, and there are now six major manufacturers that are running and catering to the world’s smartphone needs. Apple, of course, has still managed to maintain its name, and the iPhone continues to have its massive almost cult-like following with people lining outside stores the night before launches of new iPhone models and so on.
If you have never had an iPhone before and considering to buy one, or if you are a recent iPhone user, then chances are that you would probably want to acquaint yourself with possible problems you can face with your phone, because smartphones are not immune to problems either. Similarly, iPhones have a few problems that can be considered almost characteristic to them because of how commonly they have been reported by consumers. One of the most infamous examples being poor battery life. So, if you find yourself dealing with that problem, most people would direct to a repair shop that performs iPhone battery replacement services. For more information about common iPhone problems, you can keep on reading down below:
Camera Problems
If you are noticing that your iPhone’s camera is not working, and you end up with either a lack screen every time you open the camera, or if the application forcefully shuts down, then you can check to see if these tricks work:
- Make sure that there are no obstructions in front of your camera lens, and clean the lens.
- Close and restart your phone again.
- Go to your settings and turn on your Camera by going through the options in the General Setting tab.
If none of these solutions work, then you might be dealing with an issue in either your processor or your hardware. For this purpose, you will have to take your phone to a repair shop and have them try to figure out what might be causing the problem.
Battery Problems
If your battery is draining quickly, and you have noticed a considerable drop in your iPhone battery’s performance, then you can try the following:
- Optimize your phone and close down all unnecessary background applications that might be using your battery.
- Turn off your GPS and data when not in use.
If you have an older iPhone model, then you might want to make sure that your battery and programming was not slowed down on purpose by Apple. For this, you will have to take your phone to an Apple store near you for an examination. If that is not the case either, then your battery has most likely used up all of its charge cycles and is no longer working like it used to. You can take your iPhone to a repair shop and ask them if they can repair or replace your battery in this case.
Connectivity Issues
If you are having trouble trying to connect to data or Wi-Fi, then you can try out the following:
- Shutdown and force restart your iPhone.
- In case of an issue connecting to Wi-Fi, press forget the network, and then try reconnecting again.
- If this does not work either, you can go to Settings, go to Wi-Fi, and then scroll down until you reach the Http proxy option. You will then make the Http proxy option your automatic function.
If the issue persists with your data, then you will have to call your data service provider. If there is no issue reported there either, then you will have to take your iPhone to a repair shop and have them try to figure out what might be causing the problem.
No New Updates
If your iPhone is not updating into the latest iOS software by itself, then you will have to try and do it yourself, for that you will have to try the following:
- You can connect your iPhone to a PC, and force it to restart. This usually brings the iPhone to recovery mode and it will automatically display the latest update option.
- If that does not work either, you can make sure that all of your data is backed up somewhere, and then press the restore function. The restore function should then bring the latest software update option, and bring all of your backed up data with it.
If neither of these options is working, and you are sure that your iPhone has not been updated, then you should take your iPhone to either the manufacturer directly or you should take it to the repair shop and try to figure out what might be causing the problem in your iPhone.
