Final Fantasy XIV: How to Get a Chocobo Mount

Posted by David Watson . on February 13, 2021

In Final Fantasy XIV, walking all over Eorzea can be very exhausting, particularly if the world is huge. Fortunately, in the game, there are a variety of mounts you can get that will speed up the exploring, and one of them is Chocobo, the favorite fan.

For a start You have to be level 22 at least  and to join one of the three Eorzea Grand Companies.

You can come across the three Grand Companies that you can enter as you advance through the main story of the game. You have to finish the Ember Trials, which helps you to beat the primal Ifrit, to be exact as to when they will be usable.

Having a Chocobo will take patience, as until you are almost mid stage, the mount will not be available. Although you can’t get your own Chocobo until later in the game, there are other methods available in the game that make it easy to explore or go from one region to another. There’s a teleportation spell, or you can just rent a Chocobo, an aetheryte. Any way would make your trip much smoother, but having a Chocobo as a mount is something everyone looks forward to, of course.

Afterwards, will go through a series of quests as soon as you complete the task, allowing you to join one of the three Grand Companies: the Maelstrom of Limsa Lominsa, the Twin Adder Order of Gridania, and the Everlasting Flames of Ul’dah.

Despite what Grand Company you’ve joined, you’re going to have a search to get a Chocobo mount. Speak to the Commander after enrolling in each of the three Grand Companies, and he’ll give you a search.

Having a Chocobo would enable you to get the Grand Company you entered to get a certain amount of Seals. Think of these Seals as money because you will be given Seals for any mission you do for the Guild. Collect 2000 and the Quartermaster purchases the Chocobo Certificate.

You will then be able to swap it for a Chocobo! until you get the Chocobo Certificate. Bear in mind that Chocobo uses more than a mount. You can summon your Chocobo to help you to take down monsters if you are in need of help in combat. You’ll also have a chance to raise him to make him more competent in combat. There will soon be more information posted about how to lift your Chocobo. Just stay tuned.

You need to do missions from the three Grand Companies around Eorzea in order to farm 2000 Seals. They are situated in the East Shroud at Hawthorne Hut (Order of the Twin Adder), in the Eastern Thanalan at Camp Drybone (Immortal Flames), and in La Noscea at the Moraby Drydocks. Use it to get a Chocobo Issuance Pass as soon as you have 2000 Seals. Bring the pass to the Chocobo Porter nearest you, and you’ll get a Chocobo. You will then have to give a name, and the Chocobo will be yours at last. Read full manual at https://twiftnews.com
